By Kandiss Edwards On June 25, Wake Forest University announced that Grammy-winning jazz musician Branford Marsalis will be the 2025 Maya Angelou Artist-in-Residence.

A member of one of the most prominent families in jazz, Marsalis is a Grammy Award-winning saxophonist who has collaborated with jazz legends, symphonies and jam bands.

Wynton Jackson is a recent graduate from Hampton University and is the new high school sports writer for Knox News.
