ISLAMABAD: In line with the Finance Act 2025, the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) has notified revised withholding tax rates on National Saving Schemes (NSS) from July 1, 2025.

Minister of Economic Affairs Michael Halkitis said in the Senate yesterday that the government will begin issuing tax residency certificates before the end of the year.

ISLAMABAD: Experts recommended that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) needs to increase the tax base to achieve revenue target of Rs14.1 trillion in 2025-26 without burdening existing taxpayers.
