The beloved giant pandas are leaving D.C., traveling up Connecticut Avenue and flying to China on a FedEx plane. It’s the day thousands of visitors to the National Zoo have been dreading for months.
The zoo was briefly panda-less, after two pandas left in 2023. Last October, a FedEx “Panda Express” brought Qing Bao and Bao Li to Washington, D.C., for a 10-year term.
