PONCE INLET, Fla. — With nearly 1,500 nests laid, Volusia County is currently experiencing its largest sea turtle nesting season of all time.

The Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse stands tall above the Volusia County coastline, a beacon for ships in the Atlantic Ocean and Halifax River.
