House lawmakers already gave a green light to higher speed limits. On Friday, the bill looking to do so was in the passing lane in the state senate.

The additions to the bill would bring fines for speeding to $5 for each mile per hour over the limit on all roads.

The frost restrictions put in place in Williams County for gravel and chip seal roads will be lifted on Monday.
