For canoeists who want to paddle and portage into Quetico Provincial Park on canoe routes that start in the Boundary Waters, the outlook for summer is uncertain depending on location.

Troy Hoffman of Minnetonka, Minnesota, landed this 36-inch northern pike from a canoe during a July 2023 trip into Ontario's Quetico Provincial Park with Bryan Ford of Thompson, North Dakota.

You may even spot the Northern lights if you're lucky. Quetico is recognized by the International Dark Sky Association as an International Dark Sky Park, so you can expect some truly magical views.
