After watching their reshaped pitching staff get ravaged by injuries last year, the Dodgers went into this offseason looking to bolster their pitching options across the board.

The rich got richer on Tuesday. According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, the Los Angeles Dodgers have an agreement on a contract with Kirby Yates. It’s unclear what the contract specifics are, but the Dodgers once again added a good player.

Yates joins a refurbished bullpen for the World Series champions, who finalized a four-year, $72 million contract with Tanner Scott last week.

The 37-year-old veteran has pitched just one inning in postseason play – a number he should be able to increase with the Dodgers next October.
