For the last week the White House has been trying to portray Obama and members of his administration as part of a vast “treasonous conspiracy” that tried to thwart Trump.

Timing-wise, Trump's post coincides with Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard's claims that she has evidence of an “Obama Administration Conspiracy to Subvert Trump’s 2016 Victory and Presidency.” In a tweet, she wrote: "Their goal was to usurp President Trump and subvert the will of the American people."
