F OXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Paging, Ja'Lynn Polk. The New England Patriots now have two training camp practices in the books, and the second-year wide receiver has been missing in action for both sessions, further creating an uphill climb for the 2024 second-round pick to make the opening 53-man roster.

The veteran players are scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, and the team will hold its first official training camp practice on Wednesday. Patriots coach Mike Vrabel will then use the next several weeks to prepare his team for the 2025 season, while also trimming down the roster to 53 players.

Third-year wide receiver Demario Douglas made the play-of-the-day when hauling in a pass from backup quarterback Joshua Dobbs. He was able to go up for the ball and make the catch to beat second-year cornerback Marcellas Dial Jr. His four receptions on the day led the team during 11-on-11s.
