PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Seventy sirens are strategically placed within a 10-mile radius of the Palo Verde Generating Station, Arizona’s nuclear power plant, in the West Valley.

The emergency system for the Palo Verde nuclear power plant is being tested but the command center is underground, 60 miles away from the plant in Phoenix.
