The State of Michigan has redesigned the Mackinac Bridge license plate after complaints from police. The Water-Winter Wonderland plate allows Michigan drivers to celebrate the state's seasons.

The designs replicate the blue and black Great Lakes license plates that were released in the 1970s and 1980s.

Michigan has reintroduced its legacy license plates, with designs from 1979-1983 and 1983-2007 now available for order.
