Jimmy Butler has informed the Golden State Warriors that he wouldn't sign an extension if traded there by the Miami Heat, sources told ESPN.

Trade negotiations between the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat have come to a halt due to Jimmy Butler's unwillingness to sign an extension with the Warriors, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

After reportedly requesting a trade to “anywhere other than Miami,” Jimmy Butler turned down another team interested in trading for him. Butler wanted a maximum extension from the Miami Heat, which would be worth around $113 million and last until he was almost 40.
