ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - In a display of cultural pride, Roanoke’s first traditional Mexican dance group is making waves in the community by sharing their heritage through captivating performances.

Calpulli Mexican Dance Company began in 2003 in Queens. Back then, founders Lopez and Juan Castaño had studied dancing for years, becoming masters in the Mexican folk genre.
