In the 12th station, Jesus tells Mary to behold her son then asks one of his disciples to take her into his home. The presentation ended with the recitation of several prayers.

It marks the day Christians believe Jesus was crucified. For more than 15 years, the St. Mary's Church in Odessa has carried its tradition of re-enacting the biblical event.
