Hawaii's Kilauea volcano is erupting again in spectacular fashion, sending lava shooting 1,000 feet into the sky, according to the United States Geological Survey.

Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano spewed lava continuously for 13 hours on Sunday, July 20, accompanied by heightened seismic tremors.

Since December 2024, Kilauea has erupted about once a week, making it one of the world's most active volcanoes, the U.S. Geological Survey says. Kilauea isn't the only volcano erupting.
