Jed Pietila, a Hartland High School graduate, has signed with Toledo of the ECHL after playing 75 career games at Michigan Tech. “It’s definitely pretty weird,” said Pietila.

Michigan Tech is 500 miles from Hartland, but will feel like home for Pietila. He will join cousins Blake and Logan Pietila, Brian Halonen and David Raisanen on the team.

Chase Pietila makes it 3-0 from Jed Pietila! The 20-year-old right-hander spent last season with Michigan Tech. In 40 NCAA games, he posted 22 points (three goals, 19 assists).
