NetEase Games has revealed a balance overhaul for Marvel Rivals set to go live on February 21, 2025. Update 20250221, which kicks off Season 1.5 of the hero shooter, refines several of the available characters with ability and stat adjustments.

Some of the updates arriving in the mid-season patch for season one were already known, like the new characters and maps, while some leaked early on social media. NetEase Games confirmed the changes in the official notes released on Feb. 19.

Popular picks, like Cloak and Dagger and Luna Snow, are getting their most powerful abilities toned down to let tanks and damage dealers have a little more fun. And if that wasn’t enough, the worst heroes for a support player to fight off will be even stronger than they already are.

Marvel Rivals update 1.000.010 is rolling out for the big mid-season 1.5 patch, as servers are pulled down for a few hours.

The midseason patch also brings a new Central Park map and balance adjustments designed to lower sustain via strategist ultimates.

The Season 1.5 update was supposed to also contain a rank reset, but NetEase reversed course after negative fan feedback. When the second half of the season begins, there will be no rank reset. Players will retain their ranks and scores from the end of the first half.
