I am seeing reports of Google testing a new look for their image ... Search Help thread that started back on May 29th was the first to spot this and now more and more are seeing this new layout.

A member in the WebmasterWorld forums pointed out Google Image search is testing a new search results preview layout. I was able to replicate the test in Google Image Search Germany on Chrome.
