The Statue of the Holy Family sits outside the Church of the Holy Family in Flushing. Video shows a man get out of the taxi he was driving and walk toward the statue around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The vandal targeted the statue outside the Holy Family Roman Catholic on the corner of 74th Ave. and 175th St. in Fresh Meadows around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, according to The Diocese of Brooklyn.

“It kind of hit a high point when the statue of the Holy Family, which has been here for 40 years in front of our activity center, was removed overnight and has just disappeared,” he said.

On Feb. 23, officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to Holy Family Catholic Church on Baymeadows Boulevard where a religious statue had been reportedly vandalized.
