Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered an investigation into retired general Mark Milley — who often clashed with President Trump — and determine whether he should be reduced in rank.
The inspector general’s office already conducted a review in 2022 into Milley’s actions as Joint Chiefs Chairman but closed the investigation without charges or recommendations for punishment.
“General Mark Milley and many deep staters at the Pentagon hated President Trump, so their role in January 6 is well worth exploring,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
