Tropical storm warnings were extended up to Surf City, North Carolina, ahead of Tropical Storm Chantal's landfall in South Carolina early Sunday.

The storm will make landfall late Saturday night near Charleston and continue north up the coast from there. Hilton Head can expect rain and gusty winds, but will avoid the worst of the impacts.
