Gallegos Park in Frisco is closed for a 9-12 month renovation project and will reopen in 2026 with new amenities.

The hotel, located on the east side of Fireglass Way and Brixley Boulevard, will feature 190 rooms as well as meeting space.

All gravity lines are open, except for the black line, which is getting a facelift and needs another week or two, the Frisco Adventure Park said in a social media post, Thursday, May 23.

Frisco celebrated the opening of its long-awaited Kaleidoscope Park this weekend. It’s the result of a public-private partnership the city hopes will become a major attraction.

All in, Firefly Park is set to span 3 million square feet of Class A office space, 400,000 square feet of retail and entertainment, 1,200 hotel rooms, 230 townhomes and 1,970 apartments.

Wilks hopes Firefly Park helps Frisco "lean into" its rising tourism appeal. In 2021, the city welcomed 6.4 million visitors, leading to $1.5 billion in spending, according to data from Visit Frisco.

The park starts close to The Star at Frisco with a sculpture combining art and engineering. "This is 'Butterfly Rest Stop.' It's a sculpture made of twine that could stretch nearly from here to Waco.

With a 28,000-square-foot skatepark, an extensive system of cycling and Nordic trails, and a 27-hole disc golf course, it takes a concentrated effort to operate and maintain the Frisco Adventure Park.
