The biggest skate park in the U.S. is right here in Spring. Since the park opened in summer of 2014, North Houston Skatepark has had over 100, 000 skaters visit from over 20 different countries.

The private skate park had been open for 11 years prior to that. In the 1990s, Riley Brookshire — owner of High Wheels Skate Park — and other advocates pushed for a city skate park in Decatur.
