Organizers say Frisco was the perfect fit. “We’ve added 2,000 seats on the floor, plus the 4,000 permanent seats already here,” said Dallas Open Tournament Director Peter Lebedevs.

The ACMs on Monday announced their 59th awards show will be held May 16 at The Star's Ford Center in Frisco. The show will stream live on Prime Video.

“We have 7.5 million visitors come to Frisco every single year, and events like these keep our economy moving,” Cheney said. The tournament is expected to generate $1.5 to $2 million in revenue.
