USDA issues health alert for ham products that may be contaminated
A public health alert has been issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service for ham products that may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes. The ham salad products contain FDA-regulated breadcrumb products that have been recalled by Newly Wed Foods due to concerns they may be contaminated with listeria.
Officials said there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
Over 212,000 pounds of liquid egg products that were possibly distributed nationwide are being recalled, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said.
