For the fifth straight year, the Flyers’ next generation will hit the ice in Allentown when they take on their New York Rangers counterparts in a two-game series. Played at the PPL Center, the home of the American Hockey League’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms,
It turns out there won’t be any drama surrounding highly touted right winger Porter Martone at the Philadelphia Flyers’ training camp this fall.
The series will take place Friday, Sept. 12 at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 13 at 5:05 p.m. at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA, home of the Flyers’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Martone, in Minnesota for the World Junior Summer Showcase, said his college decision was to help make him the best player for when the Flyers are ready to go for a Stanley Cup.

Martone, a talented 18-year-old winger, had an outside chance at a spot with the Flyers this fall. At development camp earlier this month, he said "a full regular season in the NHL" was his goal for 2025-26.
