According to an independent investigation commissioned by the municipality first reported by the New York Times, the pieces likely disappeared during a recent town hall renovation.

The town hall said the works, including a 1980s Warhol silkscreen print of then Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands valued at £13,000, were part of a collection from the borough of Uden.
