Alumni of Eton College include Prince William and Prince Harry, the economist John Maynard Keynes and George Orwell. Its venerable grounds are facing a mundane problem: a sewer backup.

Prince George will apparently follow in his father's footsteps and attend the prestigious Eton College. The annual cost: over 60,000 euros.

For centuries, the school has been known as “the nursery of the well born and wealthy” and has enjoyed a royal seal of approval since its founding by King Henry VI in 1440.

More than a third of its free places will be cut by 2027 as aid is cut from £9.7 million to £8.65 million despite the college sitting on a £553 million endowment fund.
