New York City congestion pricing could be on life support. President Donald Trump and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul have spoken twice in the past week about ending congestion pricing tolls in the city, a highly-placed source familiar with the conversation told CBS News New York's Marcia Kramer.

The New York City tolling program began on Jan. 5 after defying obstacles for decades. A move to stop it would likely touch off a legal battle between the state and federal government.

President Donald Trump has maintained his opposition to congestion pricing in New York and has spoken to Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) twice in the past week about it. Hochul wants to keep the program, which has resulted in 1 million fewer vehicles entering the congested spots in Manhattan since its start on Jan.

A judge appointed by President Donald Trump will preside over a lawsuit challenging his order ending birthright citizenship.

President Trump said birthright citizenship was created for children of former slaves but is no longer appropriate with international migration.
