You may be disappointed in how well your new M4 MacBook can handle one of the most graphically intensive games.
The design of the Switch 2 represents a shift from the sleek, travel-friendly form of the OLED model. Its larger size and increased weight make it less convenient for on-the-go gaming. However, the updated Joy-Con controllers offer improved ergonomics, making extended gaming sessions more comfortable for players.
And the bad news is not every recent-ish MacBook can give it a go. Cyberpunk 2077 for Mac requires 16GB of RAM. It’s the minimum spec for Macs these days, but in the last generation, base MacBook Air laptops had 8GB, and the jump to 16GB was not cheap at £200.
Both MetalFX and AMD FSR upscaling are supported, as are specific graphical presets for every compatible Mac. Apple claims that once Metal 4 arrives, including the frame-generating MetalFX Frame Interpolation feature, Cyberpunk 2077 will be able to run at 120fps on Ultra settings. That’s a big statement.
