Train stations were once the centrepieces of many US cities. After decades of neglect, many places are now reviving them in new, creative ways.

However, it was abandoned when a train derailed in 1970 and destroyed a nearby bridge. The station has since been converted into a 5-star hotel, opening in 2023 after 53 years of closure.

There are 104 rooms in the hotel, including four suites. There's a wellness area, including a pool and three restaurants. What was once the station concourse is now the hotel reception.
