The Pocono Pipeline is reminiscent of the former Alpine Slide that operated from the late 70's through 2003 and helped transition Camelback Resort from a winter ski resort to a year-round destination.

This was the Alpine Slide, which was in operation from 1978 to 1999. The business was developed by Mr. George Nelson, Jr. of Minnesota and was the first Alpine Slide in the nation.
