Detroit Lions' Jared Goff, Dan Campbell picked as finalists for top NFL awards to be announced Feb. 6 in New Orleans.

After an impressive 2024 regular season that saw the team go 15-2, the expectation was that some Detroit Lions players and coaches would be up for major awards.Well, that turned out to be the case. According to Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press,

Morton is a name that some will find familiar, as he interviewed for the OC vacancy in Campbell's first season and spent a season with the Lions in 2022 as a senior offensive analyst. His year in Detroit coincided with Johnson's first year as offensive coordinator, so he likely had some influence on the offense in its beginning stages.

Quarterback Jared Goff is one of five finalists for the Associated Press NFL MVP Award, the organization announced on Thursday. He’s joined by Buffalo’s Josh Allen, Philadelphia’s Saquon Barkley, Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow and Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson.
