Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. was recognized by NBA Cares Tuesday as the Bob Lanier Community Assist Award winner for January.
The Magic now know they’ll be without guard Jalen Suggs for the foreseeable future. Replacing his production will take a group effort after Orlando’s third straight loss.
The basketball clanked off the rim. Although Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. collected the offensive rebound, the final buzzer sounded before Carter dunked it. The result: a painful 125-123 loss to the injury-ravaged Bulls, and more of the Magic’s mojo and confidence going down the drain.
