Two cold-weather shelters will open on Thursday and Friday evenings, providing refuge for people experiencing homelessness. Doors will open at 6 p.m. to offer overnight shelter Thursday and Friday.

According to Sheriff Chitwood, the boy, identified as Michael Millett, was riding bikes with his friends in the neighborhood when they stopped at the front entrance of the subdivision to pet the dogs.
