Corey Perry took down Quinn Hughes in a scrum as frustration boiled over between the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks during Thursday's matchup.

The Edmonton Oilers will be without suspended superstar Connor McDavid when they host the struggling Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night in the second game between the Pacific Division rivals in less than a week.

The NHL has suspended Connor McDavid for three games for cross-checking Conor Garland in the head. The incident happened on Saturday night after McDavid retaliated to Garland handing him for 13 seconds before the cross-check landed.

Connor McDavid was suspended on Monday and the response from Edmonton Oilers fans and media has been over the top, to say the least.
