Humboldt Redwoods State Park is home to the largest collection of ancient redwoods on the planet, with old-growth redwood forest occupying about one-third of the 53,000-acre park.
At 53,000 acres, Humboldt Redwoods is California’s third-largest state park behind Anza-Borrego Desert and Henry W. Coe near Morgan Hill. It boasts 130 trees that are 350 feet or taller.
