Tesla has taken a significant step towards its India entry, allowing customers in several Indian states to order its vehicles directly through its official website. The company's CEO Elon Musk made this significant announcement through a post on his social media site X.
Tesla shares sank after CEO Elon Musk said the company could face a “few rough quarters” as it transitions to a future focused less on selling cars and more on offering people rides in self-driving cars.
Tesla's debut in India has not convinced its early backers, who waited for the company to enter the market for nearly a decade.
"The network issue has been resolved, and Starlink service has been restored. We understand how important connectivity is and apologize for the disruption," Starlink, owned by Elon Musk's SpaceX, shared in a post on the social media platform X.
