Former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley is having a career year in his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles, becoming just the ninth player in NFL history to amass 2,000 rushing yards in a season.

With the Eagles in the red zone after the Commanders fumbled the kickoff in the first half of Sunday’s NFC Championship Game, it appeared that Washington was poised to hold the Eagles to three points. Barkley was about to be stopped short on third down. In fact, he was already conceding the play and heading out of bounds.

Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, now headed to the Super Bowl, may have just had one of the best seasons in NFL history during 2024.
