With Mardi Gras parades officially beginning Friday, Feb. 14, the City of Mobile has shared general guidance to help participants have fun and be safe during the festivities. For the 2025 Mardi Gras season Mobile will be providing additional parking spaces.

MOBILE, Ala. ( WALA) - The Conde Cavaliers kicked off the 2025 Mardi Gras season in downtown Mobile Friday night. This year’s parade theme was “You Give Love a Bad Name.” The organization was founded in 1977, and was named after the French General, Prince de Conde, according to the Conde Cavaliers' website.

The Mobile Police Department said this year's new safety protocols went well, as no major incidents were reported at Mobile Mardi Gras parades over the weekend.

Mobile’s 2025 Mardi Gras celebrations got off to an emphatic start Friday night as enthusiastic crowds lined downtown sidewalks for the Conde Cavaliers’ parade.

Public Works crews will begin placing barricades Thursday at the start of the parade route (downtown area), starting at the intersection of Jefferson and Simcoe Streets, then along the parade route to the intersection of Johnston and Vermilion Streets.
