The Bank of England has been urged to slash interest rates at a faster rate following today's inflation figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). UK inflation fell to 2.6 per cent in March,

Prices rose 2.6% in March from a year earlier, slowing from an annual rate of inflation of 2.8% in February, teeing up a new cut to interest rates.

Inflation in the U.K. fell for the second month running in March largely as a result of lower prices at the pump, a move that is likely to pile pressure on the Bank of England to cut interest rates next month.
