Janet Ginn of Greenville creates colorful artwork using a variety of lines and shapes, instead of creating abstract art. She has a variety of colorful wall hangings with landscapes and other subjects.

Known best for her story quilts depicting African-American experiences and feminine life, she also created paintings, sculpture and children's books. She was 93.

The show filled several rooms and the main hallway at Dana Gray Middle School and had 191 entries from 44 quilters.
