In Metro Detroit, the group's western Wayne County chapter is hoping to complete 50 bunk beds. Individuals can help by dropping off twin-sized, bed-in-bag sets or volunteering their time building.

The bunk beds were sold at several retailers in New York from January 2017 to May 2024. There are 1,772 bunk beds included in the recall; the recall number is 25-705.

Organization built 50 beds at weekend event LIVONIA, Mich. – The Wayne County chapter of “Sleep in Heavenly Peace” came together on Saturday to build 50 new bunk beds for families in need.

Walker Edison Furniture Company is issuing a voluntary recall of more than 120,000 twin bunk beds due to fall and impact hazards. The company said wooden slats that support the beds can break.
