WELLINGTON — School police found a loaded handgun at Panther Run Elementary on May 15 after a student reported finding it in their backpack, according to a statement from the school's principal.

Wellington was founded in 1982 by a group of local entrepreneurs as Columbus’ first coeducational independent school. It educates over 700 students ranging from three-year-olds to 12th graders.
