JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WJXT) – The iconic “Welcome to Florida” highway signs that let drivers know they’re entering the Sunshine State have changed slightly.
Interstate 95 passes through 15 states, which means drivers are greeted by a wide assortment of welcome signs. Some simply say, “Welcome to (state name),” along with maybe a state flag or flower.
Idaho’s sign used to be covered in stickers from travelers hailing from all over. The sticker-covered sign was replaced with a brand new one last year, but not before being auctioned off for $2,025.
