Michigan State Police used a rowboat to reach a 32-year-old Holt man, who had fled police and ended up walking into the Thornapple River in Eaton County early Friday.

Birdwatchers went to Historic Charlton Park to catch a glimpse of the Limpkin bird, a species known to live in Florida, near the Thornapple River, according to officials in a post on Facebook.
