Six people died when a helicopter crashed into the Hudson River Thursday afternoon. Officials said the dead included a family from Spain as well as the pilot.

Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York is calling on federal authorities to revoke the operating permits of the helicopter tour company whose sightseeing chopper plunged into the Hudson River, killing six people.

New York City has seen a long list of helicopter accidents in recent years, with the deadly crash in the Hudson River being the latest in a series of tragedies.
