From Frodo to Harry Potter, literary heroes have resembled the atypical protagonist that lived in a hole in the ground.

On Wednesday, Embracer announced it had struck a deal with the Tolkien Estate and HarperCollins for The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and the rights to other Middle-earth based literary works.

Middle Earth Enterprises, the holding company that owns all of J.R.R. Tolkien’s works including “Lord of the Rings,” “The Hobbit” and more, has been sold to Swedish gaming conglomerate ...

In addition to The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, it also includes Middle-earth related literary works authorised by the Tolkien Estate and HarperCollins, which haven’t been explored yet.
