Opened in 2006, The Farm at Walnut Creek is built like many Amish farms in the community. “People can come here and get a feel for what it is like for those who live off of the land.
No debit or credit cards are accepted. The Farm at Walnut Creek opens at 8:30 a.m. and the first wagon leaves the horse barn at 9 a.m. Other attractions are a giant corn box and scavenger hunt.
The Farm at Walnut Creek, on 120 acres in eastern Holmes County, is the creation of North Carolina farmer Henry Hampton, who has been raising exotic animals for four decades.
SUGARCREEK − The annual fall festival at the Farm at Walnut Creek will kick off this Friday and Saturday and also run Oct. 14-15 and 21-22. The farm, 4147 County Road 114, is closed on Sundays.
