Unlike the Big 12, the SEC is still doing a preseason media poll for football, and the Texas Longhorns are the team of choice. The Longhorns picked up 96 votes from a panel of media who cover the SEC to win the league's championship. Georgia was second with 44, followed by Alabama and LSU.
